Feb 10, 2012 - I completely agree. All of the main characters are gone now and I can't grasp onto the new ones. I stopped watching a couple eps into season 8. The ratings used to be in the 20 millions (s4) and now they are in the 4-5 million range. I used to be OBSESSED with this show, now, I don't even care. If they bring Jennifer, Lisa, and Olivia back for the final ep of the series, I might consider watching. I feel that the show has been going downhill since the middle of season 7..what a shame. When the show first aired it blew me away and technically got me into medical shows. since then it was well written and amazing, now it feels as though they want to be ER and it ain't working. Heck people say ER died at season 8, IMO I think it died at 1, resurrected at the end of 5 with luka then died at 11when carter left. Any who you are right this character was amazing and kept U entertain and with the support gone, house is bland and painful.

I feel the show should end but the way it should should be on an epic scale having house attempt suicide with a rogue patient running a muck as house escapes a coma to work on the patient. This will have Cuddy and the old doctors getting their hands dirty saving this patient, while at the same time 13 is put to sleep with house by her side and house walks away, having the neurology area named after him. That's my opinion but you are so right.

Feb 25, 2012 - i think the season did start off really slow and it took a while to adjust to all the major changes they've made, but as of late i think the season has started to pick up significantly. I have faith in the writers that they will end the series in an epic manner, well worthy of the show.

May 2, 2012 - I completely agree with OP, the writing has gone down hill in the last two seasons. The biggest mistakes the writers made were to get rid of Cuddy and introduce that pig faced Asian doctor. The writing is so poor that I have stopped watching the show. I only hope that the finale episode does the entire series justice and resolves the relationship between House and Cuddy. It would be awesome if the entire original cast could come back for one more show.
