My senior project... WinkSound [1] is a small company run by a handful of individuals. One portion of their business plan is professionally remastering audio for television, movies and music on a per-commission basis. Normally this process involves a client sending WinkSound raw data files and a description of the job. After the client's job is complete, WinkSound sends that finished product back. Because the raw data and final product are both on the order of several gigabytes, both parties have been using public domain file sharing services such as RapidShare [2] and MEGAUPLOAD [3] to transfer their files. WinkSound expressed issue with this method, being that it less professional and convenient than using an internal tool. The now completed WinkSound upload system allows users to sign up for an account at winkstorage.com and once their accounts are approved, quickly and easily upload and manage their files using an inline uploader and file management system. Most of the time spent on this project was used researching which systems to implement -- and, once decided, how to fix those systems.
