http://twitter.com/dylancombstv - I purchased an SSD for my newest machine when I build it about a year ago. Since then, the drive has become much slower and had quite a few problems. I've tried everything, even reinstalling Windows, to speed it up. Here's a short video of the final results. Let's see how long it takes to boot up.

May 10, 2012 - The more programs you install the longer it takes to startup. Think of your pc as a file cabinet, the more files you put into it the longer it will take to find stuff.. I prefer multiple OS installations. I keep one for productivity, and another for playing around and testing software and internet stuff... Do not let any optimization software clear or delete any cache, saving a few megabytes of space isnt worth the horrendous wait for icon loads..

May 14, 2012 - Nobody cares, it is just a quick comparison. People buy SSD for: greater life expectancy, fast performance on all apps and processes, shock resistance is better, less fail rate, less power, less heat, quieter, no spinups, less moveable parts.

May 14, 2012 - there's nothing wrong with the SSD, it boots to the "welcome" screen fine. It is obviously your computer just slowing down over time maybe due to some unnessesary programs or files ect.
