Online video marketing tips from Rebecca Happy for week 2 of the video blogging challenge set by Monika Rydz to kick off the new year with a bang. This week I have 3 tips for making online videos for your marketing campaign. The first tip is to write a script. A script serves as a guideline to help keep the focus of the message. The second tip is to be glad you have the script but under no circumstance are you to read the script. Reading just makes you another talking head that can read. It is boring and ignores the person you are speaking with on the other side of the screen. They are probably all alone with you in their office or at their kitchen table or local cafe. Keep it intimate and personal. Tip 3 is to remember to smile when you are speaking on camera, on the phone or when you are in front of someone. It increases the positiive energy for everybody. It makes you more likeable. Even if the person cannot see you when you speak and smile you sound happy. If you are afraid the person listening will be as well. Online video marketing is all about branding you and your business. People get to know you prior to actually meeting you. Youtube video sharing is one of the easiest platforms to enter and Google loves it. People are looking on youtube for what you have so why not share it. Local search marketing can benefit greatly with an online video campaign. The time is ripe for local business owners to start using it.
