That wild mindset of so many that are wrapped up with the basic question put in the different forms of of how can I get signed? How do I get signed, How to get signed to a record label, how do I get signed to a record label. All basically the same questions that are all to often followed up with awful contacts, terrible emails or social media letters that are never effective and never going to get you signed. No they are not paying attention to most of your letters. Especially when you leave things so vague, when you do not include the details or the letter that you send comes off like it is being sent to thousands and completely impersonalized. This isn't helping your cause and neither is sending a letter bragging how you are the greatest artist in the world or the band that the world has been waiting for. And as original as you think you might are, you need to remember that what you want such as how to get signed, and most likely what you are saying are the same things that thousands of other want and thousands if not millions are saying as well. If you really want to know the who, what, when, where, why and how to get in the music industry the right way, the answer lays in the details, the humility and the originality of how you solicit and contact the people you want to connect with. Just because someone has an email listed on their website, does not make them a buddy who you can be informal with. if you are reaching out and ready to solicit from labels to managers, agents to reps, you need to have your ducks in a row, a solid music business plan, even if just an outline and a personalized letter that will grab the attention of someone, instead of coming off like just another artist who will have just another email sent to the trash.
