The body is straight, the gaps exact, and the panels are flat and wave-free. On the road, this is one of the most solid, tight cars we've seen in a long time. All the chrome, including the bumpers, the rocker panel trim, and even the SS grille up front, looks outstanding. All of the SS396 badges were installed. As popular as these cars are, and with the availability of aftermarket parts, there's no reason why every Chevelle engine bay can't be as clean as this one. From the Chevy Orange paint on the block, to the bright chrome valve covers, it's extremely nice. The big block 396 starts easily, idles beautifully, and pulls the car around effortlessly. It also offers power steering and power brakes, making this a car that can be driven daily with pleasure. A 4-speed transmission makes this Chevelle one of the toughest muscle cars ever built. Underneath, the chassis is clean and solid. It does show some signs of having been driven, but you'll be pleased when you see solid floors. The black vinyl interior is clean without being sterile. The buckets look awesome with the black carpet and dash, and even though the Chevelle wasn't necessarily a luxury car, the interior doesn't sure give it away. The SS gauges and stock radio sit above a clean center console. An after market stereo radio with iPod hook up has been fitted underneath the dash. If you're a Chevelle fan, you know that high-quality cars like this are tough to find. Ready to drive and enjoy, this big block Chevelle is exactly the kind of car that we'd all like to own.
