"The Shop" is an original web series about the personalities and lifestyles of a wanna-be upscale salon in Sherman Oaks, CA and all the drama and hilarity that goes with it. TONYA, the owner and stylist, is on the hunt for the perfect shampoo assistant. Seeing the 'Help Wanted' sign always hanging outside The Shop, several... interesting candidates apply for the job. But with their lack of skills and ridiculous behavior, Tonya is quick to fire those who do not make the cut. There is a revolving door in her pursuit for the perfect shampoo assistant. With so many obstacles in her path, Tonya is faced with some life changing decisions that will put her team to the ultimate test. OTIS, the head stylist, pulls attention the moment he walks into a room. Oblivious to his flirtatious behavior with clients, he pulls attention from the wrong people and upsets his girlfriend Kendal. She wants to end the relationship; not feeling like she is the only "special" woman in Otis's life, but Otis tries to hold on. Everything changes when a new assistant gets hired at The Shop. Katya's flirtations give Otis a run for his money and she develops a romantic interest in him. She is on a mission to take his attention from his past, because she desires to become his future. The hairstylist FLIP was born with a silver spoon in his mouth, and believes the world only revolves around one person: himself. Wealthy is the way he knows how to live. He lived responsibility free until his parents lost everything in a bad business deal. Although Flip made a dramatic life adjustment, he's having trouble adjusting his spoiled attitude. Flip drops out of Harvard to attend beauty school just to make ends meet. Flip's high maintenance ways and "royal" behavior never go unnoticed!!! It's always busy in The Shop, with potential clients constantly calling in to make appointments. Unfortunately, PETRONA is working reception. Her broken English and lack of attention to detail creates chaos and many misunderstandings. To top it off, Petrona's Mother and Tonya are best friends, so she's not going to be fired anytime soon. Despite everyone's differences, the crew is a tight knit family. Without everyone playing his or her part, there would be no "Shop."
